Knowledge Community Information System
The Knowledge Community Information System is composed of software concerning metadata that supports the activities of knowledge communities, software to handle diversified contents, software to analyze and evaluate knowledge communities as the main components, servers and client PC's to operate such software, peripheral devices to handle multimedia materials, and the application software used on them.
Assuming that all of the various functions that are required for supporting intellectual activities of communities can be used in the standard accessing environment for Internet users, the system is configured so that most of its functions are available only with a WWW browser. The system environment needs to operate around the clock to facilitate its use throughout the world.
