ディジタルアーカイブの長期利用に関するシンポジウム（2008.03.14）

ネットワーク化された情報社会の中で、ディジタル情報資源の長期保存、ディジタルアーカイブの長期利用の重要性は、現在を将来に残す役割を持つ図書館や公文書館にはもちろんのこと、社会の様々な場面で認められています。昨年２月に行ったシンポジウムに続き、今年もディジタルアーカイブの長期利用に関するシンポジウムを開催いたします。今回は、ドイツでのディジタルアーカイブをリードするゲッチンゲン州立ならびに大学図書館（Goettingen State and University Library）から、Heike Neuroth、Stefan Strathmannの両氏による講演と議論の場を用意したいと思います。奮ってご参加くださいますようお願いいたします。なお、事前申し込みは不要です。

ゲッチンゲン大学のお二方に加え、国立国会図書館、国立公文書館からもご参加をお願いし、ディジタルアーカイブに関する意見交換と議論の場を作りたいと思います。

講演者紹介

Heike Neuroth氏

Heike Neuroth氏は、ゲッチンゲン州立ならびに大学図書館、研究開発部門・部門長を務めるとともに、German Initiative of Network Information (DINI)のSecretary（事務局）も務める。また、2008年1月から、マックスプランク・ディジタルライブラリ（MPDL）のメンバーとして、eHumanities、Digital Collection、Digital Curationを担当している。同氏は、1997年にゲッチンゲンのGeorg-August大学から地球科学の分野で博士の学位を取得し、2001年にベルリンのフンボルト大学で図書館情報学修士を取得している。同氏はポツダムの応用科学大学（University of Applied Sciences）とスイス・クール（Chur）の応用科学大学（Hochschule fur Technik und Wirtschaft）において図書館情報学の講義を行っている。

同氏は、ディジタルオブジェクトの長期保存に加えて情報検索（Web Serviceやポータル）といった面を中心にヨーロッパにおけるディジタルライブラリ分野の多数の研究プロジェクトに参加してきている。

Heike Neuroth is head of the research and development department of the Goettingen State and University Library in Goettingen, Germany. She furthermore is the secretary of the German Initiative of Network Information (DINI). From the beginning of January 2008 she is also a member of the Max Planck Digital Library (MPDL) team in Berlin, where she is responsible for eHumanities, digital collections and digital curation.

She received her PhD in Earth Sciences from the Georg-August University of Goettingen in 1997 and her MA in Library Sciences from the Humboldt-University of Berlin in 2001. She gives lectures in library and　information sciences at the University of Applied Sciences in Potsdam (Germany) and at the Hochschule fur Technik und Wirtschaft in Chur (Switzerland)

Heike Neuroth is actively involved in several (European) research projects in the field of digital libraries, focussing on developments in information retrieval (web services, portals) as well as longterm preservation of digital objects.

Stefan Strathmann氏

Stefan Strathmann氏はゲッチンゲン州立ならびに大学図書館、研究開発部のメンバーであり、ディジタルオブジェクトの長期保存、同図書館における nestorプロジェクトのコーディネータを務める。Nestorプロジェクトは、長期保存に関する認知度の向上、色々な知見の提供、ばらびにコミュニティ形成を通してドイツにおけるディジタルオブジェクトの長期保存を促進することを目的としている。これに加えて、同氏は科学データのDigital Curation、ドイツおよびヨーロッパでのディジタルリソースに関するプロジェクトに参画している。

Stefan Strathmann is a member of the research and development department of　the Goettingen State and University Library (SUB). He is an expert in the　field of long term preservation of digital objects and coordinates the SUB nestor project. nestor aims at enhancing the preservation of digital objects in Germany through raising awareness, disseminating expertise and community building. Furthermore he is involved in several other projects and initiatives focusing on the digital curation of scientific data and other digital resources in Germany and Europe.
