====== Travel and Venue ====== ASSIA 2013 will be held at the Research Center for Knowledge Communities, University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba, Japan. The Tsukuba Science City（筑波研究学園都市） is located at the center of Tsukuba City, 60 km northeast of Tokyo. Tsukuba Science City has about 60 educational and research organizations such as the University of Tsukuba, Tsukuba University of Technology, and High Energy Accelerator Research Organization, in 2,700 hectare-city area. The main Tsukuba campus covers an area of 258 hectares (636 acres), making it the largest single campus in Japan. Its Graduate School of Life and Environmental Sciences is represented on the national Coordinating Committee for Earthquake Prediction. The university is one of the Japanese Ministry of Education, Culture, Sports, Science and Technology's thirteen "Global 30" Project universities.
